You may well be familiar with the ‘Rosebud’ cheat on the Sims 1, but Maxis have since upped their game to bring players the complex and enlightening boolprop possibilities. While there are less in depth Sims 2 cheats; entering ‘boolprop testingcheatsenabled true’ into the menu which pops up when you type ctrl+shift+c allows players to have control over almost any aspect of the game.
The boolprop cheat is something that players will probably want to explore themselves. There is a multitude of menus for each different Sim and objects, for example the mailbox which gives control over the NPCs (maids, repairmen, nannies etc.) and every other Sim in the neighborhood, so learning about each command can take a while! Because each Sims 2 fan has a unique way of playing, the best thing to do would be to create a test family to try each command out and discover which will enhance game play and which are useless to them.
It would seem that the producers of the Sims 2 (Maxis) have left the boolprop menus to give keen players further insight into how the game was developed. While this Sims 2 Cheat is one that was probably used to test the game, it’s certainly one that can enhance game play with functions such as ‘The Tombstone of L and D (Life and Death)’ which allows players to introduce a new family member, rename Sims and even make a Sim (male or female) pregnant with an Alien baby amongst others.
The beauty of this cheat is that once activated, it’s unobtrusive. Menu objects can be deleted and reintroduced at will, and many of the menus will only come up if ‘shift’ is pressed before clicking. Of all the Sims 2 Cheats this one is probably the most advanced, yet it gives players the ability to control their Sims lives right down to the smallest detail.
